Lip and dermal fillers
Dermal fillers can be used to plump out wrinkles and deep lines that occur with age to help restore a fuller and more youthful complexion. Though results can vary between individuals they can be used to restore volume and contour the face whether it be for beautification or rejuvenation. When injected in the lips they can help restore definition to the lip or just help produce a more voluminous pout.
All products used by Paragon Aesthetics in their Newcastle and Sunderland clinics comply with current UK safety standards. Through researching and gaining practical experience with different products available Paragon Aesthetics has carefully selected the use of Hyaluoronic Acid fillers (HA) for use in dermal fillers. A variety of brands, densities and delivery techniques are used depending on the treatment area and desired result, every treatment is bespoke. Brands used include Juvederm, Belotero and Teosyal. Dr. Elle, Danielle and Dr. Sasha believe in a 'whole face' approach to treatment - assessing the face and the client specific needs to tailor a treatment which is most suitable for the individual.
What are Hyaluoronic Acid fillers such as Juvederm or Belotero?
Hyaluoronic acid (HA) is a modified form of a chemical found naturally in the skin that helps hydrate, deliver nutrients and retain moisture. When injected in to the skin and lips it can create a more volumness appearance to leave results that are natural looking, immediately noticeable and long lasting.
To allow for maximum comfort during treatment the HA filler also contains a local anaesthetic that numbs the area within seconds. To further minimise discomfort a topical anaesthetic is applied to the treatment area prior to treatment. As HA is a natural component of the skin, it is naturally metabolised meaning all forms of HA fillers are temporary requiring future top up. Results vary depending the area of the face where fillers are used.

Lip Fillers
Lip fillers or otherwise described as 'lip augmentation' use HA to restore shape, volume and structure to the lips. As part of the natural aging process the lips loose volume and the margins become less defined. Fillers are a simple, quick and relatively pain free treatment with nearly no down time. Whether you want ever a subtle improvement or a more obvious volumness change a free pre treatment consultation can be carried out to plan how treatment can be carried out to achieve you desired look. Will I have a 'trout pout'. The 'trout pout' or 'rubber ring' look that many people associate with lip fillers is only caused when too much product is used. An obligatory free consultation is carried out prior to any treatment where Elle and Danielle can talk you through how the treatment can be used to produce effects that are either subtle or make a statement. |
Tear Trough Fillers
The 'tear trough' refers to the area below the eye which can appear hollow giving a tired appearance even if you are well rested. The tear trough can become more apparent as part of the natural ageing process as facial fat pads are redistributed starting as young as 25 in some individuals. Using a combination of needle and cannula techniques HA filler can be placed in the under eye and surrounding areas to plump out hollowness creating a more youthful and fresher appearance. Results in this area last around 9-12 months. |

Chin and Jawline Fillers

Whether used to rejuvenate, beautify or masculinise the face, chin and jawline fillers can have a dramatic effect in improving facial proportions and profile. Results are immediate and typically last around 9-12 months using Juvederm or Belotero fillers.
Beautification and masculinisation - a 'weak' chin and jawline can be genetic, caused by the underlying boney structure of the face and act as a major source of dissatisfaction and self-confidence for clients with this complaint. High density dermal filler can be injected using a combination of safe needle and cannula techniques to create and sharpened jawline, mandibular angle and proportional chin. Whether it be to masculinise the male face to produce a squarer stronger jawline or to feminise the female face to create and more almond or inverted triangle shape, treatment to this area can enhance the overall facial attractiveness.
Rejuvination - as part of the natural ageing process fat deposits are redistributed in the face. In women this can change the face from a feminine inverted triangle shape to a more masculine square appearance. As 'jowls' develop definition to the jaw line can be lost leading to a dissatisfying appearance. Using high density filler contour can be returned to the jawline, restoring a youthful appearance.

Cheek Fillers |

The cheeks are a centre point to the face and an important element in facial attractiveness. Well-defined the cheeks symbolise a youthful appearance, they create balance to the face and improve the facial profile. Cheek fillers can act to create high arched cheek bones for younger men and women who have never been well contoured or to restore mid-face volume for clients who have lost volume through the natural ageing process cheek fillers can restore fullness to create a more youthful appearance.
When filling the cheeks fillers chosen specifically for their lifting ability are used. Using a combination of needle and cannula technique treatment can be carried out in a single session or gradually built up over multiple appointments. With use of topical numbing cream the discomfort is rated as minimal with results seen instantly.
Treatment in this area last in the region of 12-18 months using Juvederm or Belotero fillers.
Peri-oral Fillers
As part of the natural aging process skin crease around the mouth become more noticeable. The skin can begin to look less 'plump' as fat is lost from the cheeks resulting reduction in skin volume making folds appear deeper and creases appearing permanent. These folds can be corrected by injection of dermal filler in to the surrounding area, restoring volume giving a soft and smoother natural appearance. We take a full face approach to fillers assessing the face as a whole before planning treatment, treatment of this area may involve treating the nasolabial folds and marionette lines:

Nasolabial folds commonly known as "smile lines" are the lines running from either side of the nose to the corners of the mouth separating the cheeks from the upper lip. These lines become more apparent in the natural aging of the face.
The naolabial folds can be treated with dermal fillers to restore volume to the area restoring a more youthful appearance.
Even if you've never hear of marionette lines aka 'puppet lines' you are probably aware what they
are. These are the lines that run from the corner of the mouth giving an 'upside down smile'.
These lines can become more prominent as part of the natural ageing process. Before the lines form a deep fold they can be plumped out with dermal fillers for fine lines, as they become more prominent they require medium line fillers.
